How to remove or uninstall Adobe Reader from Ubuntu?
I have frequently seen people asking how to remove acroread from Ubuntu. While they failed to remove it directly from package lists, they will try to remove it manually.
The reason that they failed to remove the reader through the package list is that the package name is incorrect. The package name for the reader is something like adobereader-enu, which may change later depending on your downloaded package.
Now you have the correct name, then you can remove it:
sudo apt-get remove adobereader-enu
